About me

Hello, my name is Hattie. I’m an experienced and accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor working with adults and young people over the age of 16 years. I offer a thoughtful and supportive space for individuals and practitioners to explore, reflect, and work towards meaningful change.

With over two decades of experience, I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting them through many different emotional and psychological challenges. This has given me a deep appreciation of the complexity of people’s lives, as well as the resilience and resourcefulness we all carry, even in the most challenging times.

Through my many years working in rape, sexual violence and domestic abuse services, I developed a deep respect for people’s capacity to heal and grow, even in the face of profoundly difficult experiences.

Working within the NHS and the charity sector, particularly in occupational counselling and supporting people following ill health diagnoses, I have supported individuals in navigating the emotional impact of significant life changes. Alongside this, I have managed counselling services and led clinical teams, as well as running my own successful private practice.

My professional experience, together with my own lived experience of navigating complex and challenging life circumstances, has deepened my understanding of how easily people can lose a sense of themselves, often in the process of meeting the expectations and demands of others, and finding little space to attend to their own needs. This understanding led me to return to further training, achieving an MA in Psychotherapy, with a particular focus on identity and the ways in which it is shaped, disrupted, and rediscovered.

At the heart of my work is creating a space to reflect, reconnect with a sense of self, and develop a way forward that feels more grounded and coherent. Whether you are seeking personal support or professional reflection, you are welcome here.
